Please take note there will be a disruption to water services at the Algonquin Highlands municipal complex along North Shore Road and the Dorset Recreation Centre next weekend, between Friday, May 10 and Monday, May 13.

You can find an assortment of unique treasures in Oxtongue Lake next weekend at the Community Yard Sale that will take place Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Oxtongue Lake Community Centre at 3979 Highway 60. 

Please note all Township of Algonquin Highlands waste disposal facilities will transition to summer hours effective Wednesday, May 1. 

Take Notice that the Township of Algonquin Highlands has received a complete application to amend the Township’s Zoning By-law. The site specific amendment applies to land located in Part of Lot 13, Concession 10, in the geographic Township of Stanhope now in the Township of Algonquin Highlands. The civic address is 1224 Halls Lake Road (see key map).

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is seeking proposals from qualified consultants for the preparation of a Land Use, Development Plan and Marketing Strategy for the Stanhope Municipal Airport.

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is hosting a spring fly-in at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It’s National Volunteer Week and Algonquin Highlands Council is celebrating the many residents who volunteer their time and energy to make Township events, activities, attractions and programming a reality.

Council invites letters of interest from members of the public who are interested in serving on the Recreation Committee for the remaining term of Council.

Please note that members of Algonquin Highlands Fire Services from Station 80 will be taking part in a training exercise on the runway at Stanhope Municipal Airport on the evening of Monday, April 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. The runway will be unavailable during this time and a NOTAM is being issued to aviators.
